Web Design & Development — Case Study
How We Rebuilt a Global Tech Brand's Digital Presence—and Grew Their Organic Traffic by 3x
Every now and then, a project comes along that pushes your team to do its best work. This was one of those. When a multinational technology solutions firm approached Interlink Events with a website that was costing them customers rather than winning them, we knew the stakes were high—and we were ready.
What followed was a 14-week collaboration that touched every layer of their digital presence: brand strategy, UI/UX architecture, full-stack development, performance engineering, and post-launch SEO. The result wasn't just a new website—it was a new digital engine for their business.

Client Background
A Global Technology Firm Ready for a Digital Upgrade
Our client is a mid-sized technology solutions company operating across North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. They provide enterprise-grade IT infrastructure services, cloud migration consulting, and managed cybersecurity solutions to businesses in the financial services, healthcare, and logistics sectors.
Despite a strong service offering and an established client roster, their digital presence was stuck in the past. The website—built nearly seven years earlier—reflected none of their current capabilities. Navigation was confusing, the mobile experience was frustrating, and the content didn't speak to the decision-makers they needed to reach.
They'd tried patching things up over the years, but incremental fixes weren't cutting it anymore. What they needed was a clean break: a completely new website built around their current positioning, their ideal clients, and how modern buyers actually research and evaluate technology partners.

Project Challenges
Before our team wrote a single line of code, we spent two weeks in deep discovery. Here's what we found—and what made this project genuinely challenging.
Discovery & wireframing session — identifying UX gaps and content architecture issues
Outdated Architecture, Zero Scalability
The existing site was built on a legacy PHP framework with hardcoded templates. Adding a new service page required developer involvement, which meant the marketing team was always dependent on IT—a bottleneck that cost them time and money every month.
Poor Mobile Experience
With over 62% of their traffic arriving on smartphones and tablets, the broken mobile layout was a serious business problem. Buttons overlapped, text was unreadable without zooming, and the contact form simply didn't work on iOS devices.
Abysmal Core Web Vitals
A Google PageSpeed score of 23 on mobile told the full story. Unoptimised images, render-blocking scripts, and no caching strategy meant visitors were often abandoning the page before it even finished loading—particularly on slower connections.
Brand Inconsistency Across Pages
Different sections of the site had been updated at different times by different people with no design system in place. The result was a visual patchwork—inconsistent fonts, mismatched colour schemes, and a brand identity that felt fragmented and untrustworthy.
Zero Content Strategy or SEO Foundation
Despite operating in a competitive global market, the website had no keyword strategy, no internal linking structure, and several pages with near-identical meta titles. The site was essentially invisible to search engines for its core service terms.
No Clear Conversion Path
Visitors had no obvious next step. There was a contact page buried in the footer, but no contextual calls-to-action, no lead capture forms on service pages, and no way for prospects to self-qualify and book a consultation. Leads were slipping through every crack.
Our Approach & Strategy
We don't treat every project the same way, because every client's situation is different. Our approach here was built around three core pillars: understand deeply, design intentionally, and build to last.
Strategy Before Screens
Too many web projects start with aesthetics and work backwards to strategy. We do the opposite. Before our designers opened a single tool, our strategy team spent weeks studying the client's target audience, mapping competitor positioning, and auditing every piece of existing content.
We interviewed five of the client's existing enterprise clients to understand how they'd actually found them, what almost made them choose a competitor, and what language they used to describe their own challenges. Those insights shaped everything that came after—the site architecture, the messaging hierarchy, the calls-to-action, and the design language.
This is the kind of strategic groundwork that separates a beautiful website from a website that actually performs. And for a company operating in competitive global markets, performance wasn't optional.

Competitor digital positioning analysis (8 competitors)
-
Content inventory & gap analysis
-
Information architecture (IA) redesign

Conversion funnel mapping & CTA strategy
-
Global keyword research & content planning
-
Performance baseline benchmarking
Technology Stack Used
The technology choices we make on any project aren't arbitrary. Each decision is driven by the client's operational needs, the scale they're targeting, and the technical environment their team is comfortable managing after we hand over the keys.
Technologies selected for performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability
Frontend Stack
We chose a component-driven frontend architecture that enables the marketing team to build and modify pages independently—without writing code.
Backend Stack
Server-side choices were made with performance, security, and ease of maintenance in mind—especially for a team without dedicated in-house developers.
CMS & Infrastructure
Rather than locking the client into a proprietary system, we built on a flexible, open-source CMS with custom plugins—giving them full editorial control without vendor dependency.
Analytics & Performance
Full analytics instrumentation from day one—because you can't improve what you can't measure.
Design & Development Process
Fourteen weeks sounds like a long time until you understand how much thought and craft goes into building a website that actually delivers results. Here's how we approached it.
UI/UX wireframes — from low-fidelity sketches to high-fidelity interactive prototypes
Cross-functional collaboration between design, development, and content teams
Discovery & Strategy (Weeks 1–2)
Stakeholder workshops, audience interviews, technical audit, competitor analysis, and keyword research. Deliverable: a 28-page Discovery Report that served as the project's north star throughout every subsequent phase.
Information Architecture & Wireframing (Weeks 3–4)
We rebuilt the site's navigation and content hierarchy from scratch. Fourteen low-fidelity wireframes were produced, iterated, and signed off before a single pixel of visual design was created. This eliminated costly rework later in the process.
UI/UX Design & Design System (Weeks 5–7)
We developed a complete design system—colour palette, typography scale, component library, iconography, spacing rules, and interaction patterns—before designing a single page. This meant every screen was visually consistent by default, not by accident. Client review and approval happened via interactive Figma prototypes.
Content Development & SEO Writing (Ongoing – Weeks 4–10)
Our content team produced over 35 pages of original, SEO-optimised copy in parallel with design. Every page was written with a specific keyword target, a clear audience intent, and a defined conversion goal. No placeholders, no Lorem Ipsum—real, final content ready for launch day.
Full-Stack Development (Weeks 7–12)
With approved designs and content in hand, our development team built the site in a structured sprint-based cycle. Frontend components were developed in isolation and tested across 18 device/browser combinations before integration. The headless CMS setup was built to allow the content team to publish, update, and create pages without engineering support.
Performance Engineering (Weeks 11–13)
An entire sprint was dedicated exclusively to performance. We implemented lazy loading, next-gen image formats (WebP/AVIF), critical CSS inlining, JavaScript defer strategies, and a Cloudflare CDN configuration. By the end, PageSpeed scores went from 23 to 98 on mobile.
QA, Testing & Launch (Week 14)
Thorough QA across functionality, responsiveness, accessibility, forms, and performance. Followed by a staged launch with DNS migration, 301 redirect mapping, Google Search Console resubmission, and a 48-hour post-launch monitoring window. Zero downtime. Zero broken redirects.
Key Features Implemented
Beyond a beautiful visual redesign, this project delivered a suite of technical capabilities that the client's team now uses day-to-day to attract, nurture, and convert visitors.
Custom admin dashboard — empowering the client to manage all content independently, without developer support
Headless CMS with Custom Page Builder
The client's marketing team can now create, edit, and publish new pages using a drag-and-drop interface built on reusable design-system components. No developers. No agency bottleneck. Full editorial freedom.
Multi-Language Support with Automatic Hreflang
The site was built to serve audiences in English, German, and Bahasa—with proper hreflang implementation ensuring correct language versions are served to the right regions without keyword cannibalisation.
Intelligent Lead Capture & CRM Integration
Conversion-optimised contact forms and a consultation booking widget across all service pages—integrated directly with the client's HubSpot CRM via API, so every lead lands in their pipeline automatically and correctly tagged.
Structured Data & Rich Snippet Markup
Schema.org markup implemented across the site—including Organisation, Service, FAQ, and Breadcrumb schemas—to maximise visibility in search results with rich snippets and improved click-through rates.
Advanced Security Layer
Implementation of SSL/TLS, HTTP security headers, CSRF protection, WAF rules via Cloudflare, and automated vulnerability scanning. Full alignment with Interlink Events' broader cybersecurity services philosophy.
Progressive Web App (PWA) Capabilities
Service worker implementation for offline functionality, background syncing, and home screen installation on mobile—delivering a near-native app experience to mobile users without an additional app development budget.
Dynamic Case Study & Resource Library
A custom-built resource centre for case studies, whitepapers, and thought leadership articles—fully indexed, filterable by industry and topic, and designed to serve as a long-term SEO asset and sales enablement tool.
Intelligent Internal Linking System
We built an automated internal linking module that suggests contextual links as editors write content—ensuring consistent link equity distribution across the site and reinforcing topical authority signals for SEO.
AI-Powered Site Search
A semantic search engine (built on an open-source vector search stack) replacing the default keyword-matching search. Users now find relevant content even when they use different terminology than the site's own headings.
WCAG 2.1 AA Accessibility Compliance
The entire site was audited and adjusted to meet Level AA accessibility standards—alt text on every image, keyboard navigability throughout, sufficient colour contrast ratios, and ARIA labels on all interactive elements.
Results & Impact
We track every project for a minimum of six months after launch, because a great-looking website that doesn't perform isn't a success. Here's what the data showed.
Six-month performance analytics — organic traffic, conversion rates, and Core Web Vitals tracked post-launch
Performance Improvements
Business Impact
-
3x Growth in Organic Search Traffic
Within six months of launch, organic sessions grew from an average of 4,200/month to over 13,800/month—driven by the new technical SEO foundation and content strategy.
-
45% Increase in Qualified Lead Submissions
Form submissions from qualified enterprise prospects increased by 45% compared to the pre-launch six-month average—attributable to improved UX, clearer CTAs, and contextual lead capture across all service pages.
-
First-Page Rankings for 23 Target Keywords
Of the 38 core keywords identified in our pre-launch research, 23 reached page one of Google within six months—including highly competitive enterprise IT and cloud consulting terms in the UK and US markets.
-
Full Content Team Independence
The client's marketing team now publishes an average of 8 new pages or articles per month without any developer involvement—a dramatic shift from their previous model where a single page update required a 2-week lead time.
Client Testimonial
"Honestly, we weren't sure what to expect going in. We'd had bad experiences with web agencies before—big promises, average execution, and a website we couldn't update ourselves without paying for every small change. Interlink Events was completely different. From the first strategy sessions, it was clear they'd actually thought about our business, not just our website. They pushed back on some of our assumptions in ways that were uncomfortable but ultimately right. The end product speaks for itself—we've had enterprise prospects explicitly mention our website as a reason they felt confident reaching out. That didn't happen with the old site. Ever. The results in the first six months exceeded every target we'd set internally. We're already in conversation about phase two."
